They are perfect for dipping sauce dishes. I purchased them because they match pretty well to a set of bowls that I already have. I am slowly building up a small set of dishes they are perfect for a small dinner party with matching dishes.Perfect for my needs. I use them as a holder of game board components.The bowls are beautiful to look at, fairly easy to clean and, overall, a good value for the money. That said, it is easy to chip the edges and when they were shipped to me one bowl was broken... twice (one in the original set & one in the replacement set)!!Perfect addition to our table settings. So glad we got these!
