They work well to remove food from dishes and pots and pans. Love how they are clean and fresh after going through the cloths washer with any load. Many times . . .I have used these 6 sponges for 14 months now and they've gone through the wash so many times. I started using them because my roommate would get food stuck in our regular sponges and leave them soaking wet to grow bacteria and I was throwing them out left and right. These ones are harder to get food stuck in, but even when she did, I'd just throw them in the dirty towel bin and they'd come out good as new after a wash. 10/10 would recommend for shared dish situations where you can't control others' dishwashing etiquette. It's nice to be able to throw them in the washer once they get smelly. I wash my dishes everyday. These will last me a very long time!I really like these sponges. They are so long lasting and hold up well using all types of cleaning products, including bleach. I use one for dishes & another for general cleaning; one spare. Once I’m done using them, I rinse them well and put them on the third rack of the dishwasher. To disinfect them, I’ll pop them in the microwave for about 30 secs, remove and air dry. These are great! They can be washed in the washing machine - less waste. They clean well - don't scratch.UPDATE: I've now been using 4 of these pads for 4 months, machine washing each pad after about 5 days of use. They have held up amazingly well. They're visibly worn but still very usable and not coming apart. I think they will be good for at least 10 washings, probably more. I've updated my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars based on their durability.I've always used a Scrunge (scrub sponge) on my dishes, but Scrunges get stinky in a couple of weeks, and they're not machine washable. (You can put them through the dishwasher, but in my experience that doesn't work very well.) I wanted something that could go through the washing machine and get really clean, and these microfiber pads do the trick. I've been using them for a month now, and I wash them after 5-7 days of use. Some of them have been washed 4 times and are still in good shape. I put the pad into a small mesh lingerie bag to keep it from snagging on the other items in the washer, and I throw the pad (still in the bag) in the dryer after washing. So we got these because we hate throwing Scotch Bright sponges in the garbage every month. These are machine washable and that's nice. However, they aren't good a scrubbing pans. Neither the abrasive side or the fabric side are great at it. The fabric gets greasy easily and you have to wash them to get it off. It's almost good...almost. It needs to be better at cleaning and getting itself clean after.I couldn't find the ones that we normally bought and decided to try these. They work great and are the perfect size and are less expensive than the ones we were getting at the local supermarket.
