I was looking forward to getting this book and preparing the dishes ,I was NOT disappointed. The recipes are fresh and the food filling. I'm a fan!!. I was so excited I didn't know what to prepare 1st. If you're Guyanese or of West Indian decent you already have at least 95% of the ingredients in your kitchen which is a plus. If you're not either then get ready for a delicious dive into amazingly fresh and healthy food. My first recipe from the book was the Tomato Stew chicken. I had last minute guests ( 3 cousins from out of town) pop in. I made a big pot of it. Whilst the food was cooking, we were chatting, loved that. I posted pics of the empty pot and the leftovers (lunch for tomz). The next dish I cook I'll definitely try to upload a more decent pic. I was able to prepare and serve food to 6 adults and 3 toddlers, the recipe is that easy,healthy and delicious ? ?.
