Thick sturdy material. Suction on plate is only enough to prevent it from sliding around, but it doesn't hold securely to surfaces. My son can easily pick it up and move it (or throw it). Bibs are great and stay open to catch his spills. Both items need to lay flat in the dish machine to get clean. Otherwise, they are easy to clean by handI hate how wobbly and bendy these are, kind of a huge pain when trying to carry from counter to table with food on it. Wish I would have read more carefully reading that these plates were flimsy. Will not buy again. I prefer solid plates.I love how it’s so easy to clean, and bibs dont hurt my baby. The bibs can be adjusted around the neck, and have pockets at the bottom to catch droppings. The plates do not have suction rings on the bottom.This sets comes with two plates, two silicone bibs, a spoon and a fork. The colors are all coordinated and blue and light green.The silverware has plastic tips and silicone handles. The silicone is bendable, but sturdy. They are green and white in color.The plates are medium to light duty silicone. They have a slight give to them but are sturdy enough to hold the contents. They need to be held with two hands when full. There are two smaller sections of the plate and one larger section.These are dishwasher safe in the top rack and have held up beautifully wash after wash.The bibs have the elephant logo on the front and are a softer silicone with much more give and flexibility. In the past I have used some that were so rigid they were nearly impossible to get any use out of. Because these are softer they fit better and bend with the baby as well as a chair/table set up.This is a great set to add to my silicone collection for kid foods. The colors are gender neutral and the silicone is one of the safestoptions available on the market right now. I like that I can add hot or cold foods on the silicone plates without having to worry about chemicals leaching from the material to the food.This set is made out of food grade silicone and is easy to care for - it can be handwashed or put in dishwasher to clean, and the plates are microwavable and even oven-safe!The bibs are adjustable and will grow with your baby. I love the pockets that catch everyting that spills, and they are a breeze to clean!Unlike many other silicone plates, these do not have suction bottoms, but that's ok. The sections are large and deep enough to last for a few years - we have a 6 year old happily using these plates: he loves having his food "separated" :)
