First off, these petri dishes arrived in various states of damage - not likely from shipping as the packaging was protective and the box was not damaged at all. Every single dish of the ten I ordered were either scratched, chipped/cracked/fractured, distorted/melted or had air bubbles. They’re closer to 1.5 mm thick, where they aren't deformed and even thinner. The images are definitely not of the same dishes as the lids fit even more loosely than pictured, to the point it’d be laughable to even consider using them for any actual agar work as theres almost no way to effectively seal them or keep them clean and sterile after pouring. They were definitely not sterile as there were hairs and finger prints inside almost every dish and they were all individually wrapped in contaminate covered tissue paper - not in a way that would really protect them even, just over the top of the lid with a small piece of the corner of each tucked inside. Luckily they were bubble wrapped pretty well but the sterility was right out the window if they were ever even sterilised to begin with. On top of everything else, they’re not even borosilicate glass. They’re not even good quality soda lime glass, it has to be some of the worst quality glass I’ve seen anything made out of. Even if you’re just looking to use these for crafts they’d be pretty ill suited. I’m not sure what I expected from something so cheap, but I guess I was hoping to get lucky. Pretty much everything advertised in the product description is a lie.
