I found some very good local recipes that I have been looking for. Hawaii's recipes include those of many cultures so it should not be surprising that there are some that started out on the Mainland. They have become part of Hawaii's cooking just like the Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Etc. dishes. I would have liked some photos as they can be so inspiring, especially if it is an unfamiliar recipe. This book is not fancy, but is well put together and easy to use. The recipes are what real people eat.
